High Speed Fibre-Optic Broadband for Rural Communities – US..!!

Dear Fellow Resident,
H.M.Government has recently provided Kent County Council with a large sum of money which has to be used to provide High Speed Fibre-Optic Broadband to Rural Communities which currently suffer from slow broadband.
Boughton Aluph (including Boughton Lees) is one such area, our broadband service is provided via copper telephone cable for much of the 7kilometer distance from here to the exchange and is extremely slow and is frequently unreliable. A typical download speed for us is 0.5Mbps but with Fibre-Optic cable we could reasonably expect speeds up to and in excess of 2Mbps – even 7Mbps or more eventually as the technology develops.
Without Fibre-Optic Cable we will remain unable to fully participate in the modern world of information technology as it develops should we wish to.
The funding is currently available but limited so we have to ask for it now. Communities which register a high demand are the ones which are most likely to get a positive response.
Some areas to the south of Ashford have already applied for and are receiving their new fast service. The chance may not come around for us again for a very long time so if we want it we must act quickly.
How do I Ask?
Easy! Go to http://www.kent.gov.uk and in the search box type broadband , click on the first result (Broadband in yellow highlight) then on the next page in the second blue box click on Vote now!, or alternatively paste: http://www.kent.gov.uk/community_and_living/community_grants_and_funding/broadband.aspx into your browser.

I can be contacted at appmv12@gmail.com should you need any help completing the form, or you can email me for the links.
In order to track and follow-up the Boughton Aluph submissions with Kent County Council it would be really helpful to know how many of us have voted so please email me when you have done so. With Best Regards,
Alan.
